Privacy policy

How information submitted through this website is collected and used.

For review before launch. This policy is a working draft based on how the website actually functions. It should be reviewed by the business owner — and, where appropriate, an attorney — and updated with real contact details before the site goes live.

Information collected

This website collects only the information you choose to submit through its forms. That includes your name, email address, phone number, the service you are asking about, appointment preferences, anything you write in a message or notes field, and your email address if you subscribe to updates.

The site does not require an account, and it does not ask for payment information.

How information is used

Submitted information is used to respond to your request, schedule and confirm appointments, and provide the notary or bookkeeping services you asked about. It is not sold, rented, or traded.

Newsletter and updates

If you subscribe through the signup form in the footer, your email address is stored so occasional updates can be sent to you. It is used for that purpose only, is not sold or shared, and you can ask to be removed at any time by replying to any message you receive or by contacting us directly.

Form processing

Form submissions are processed and stored by the website’s hosting provider so they can be delivered to the business. The hosting provider processes this data on behalf of KR Notary & Bookkeeping Services.

Analytics and cookies

This website sets no analytics cookies and includes no tracking or advertising scripts.

Third-party fonts

Typefaces on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests those files from Google’s servers. Google may log the request, including your IP address, as part of serving those files.

Document confidentiality

Documents presented in the course of a notarization are handled with professional discretion and are not shared beyond the parties involved, except where required by law or by the requirements of the notarial act itself.

Financial information

Bookkeeping clients share sensitive financial information, including bank and credit card activity and access to accounting records. That information is used only to perform the agreed bookkeeping work, is not shared with anyone outside the engagement without your instruction, and is not used for any other purpose.

Where a bookkeeping engagement requires access to accounts or document-sharing platforms, the specific tools used and how your records are stored are set out in your engagement terms before any access is granted.

Notary journal records

A notary public is required to record certain details of each notarial act. Those records are kept as state law requires and are separate from the information collected through this website.

Data retention

Form submissions are kept for as long as they are needed to respond to your enquiry and to keep a record of the work. Bookkeeping records are retained for the period set out in your engagement terms. Notary journal retention is set by state law, as described above.

Your choices

You can ask what information about you has been submitted through this site, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, subject to any recordkeeping obligations that apply to notarial acts or to an ongoing bookkeeping engagement.
