Questions, answered plainly
Notary questions first, then bookkeeping. If yours is not covered here, send it through the contact form — a direct answer is always faster than a guess.
Mobile notary service, document notarization, scheduled appointments, real estate documents, general notary services, and professional signing assistance. If you are unsure whether your specific document can be notarized, mention it when you request an appointment and we will confirm before scheduling.
Yes. Every signer needs current, government-issued photo identification, and the name on the identification should match the name on the document.
Valid photo identification, the complete document including its notarial certificate page, and any additional signers or witnesses the document requires. Leave the signature lines blank until the appointment.
It depends on the type of notarial act. A jurat requires you to sign in the notary’s presence, so a pre-signed document will not work. An acknowledgment requires you to appear and acknowledge that the signature is yours, which can sometimes be done after signing. The safest approach is to leave signatures blank and bring the document as it is.
Use the booking page to send your preferred date, time window, and a short description of the document. Requests are reviewed and confirmed before the appointment is scheduled — submitting a preferred time does not by itself reserve it.
We travel to you — your home, your office, or another location you arrange. Include the address or general area when you request the appointment and the travel area and any travel fee are confirmed before anything is booked.
RON stands for Remote Online Notarization. It is a fully digital process in which a signer and a licensed notary public complete a notarization over a secure audio-video connection instead of meeting in the same room. Identity is verified online through knowledge-based authentication or credential analysis, the document is signed electronically, the notary applies a digital seal, and the video session is recorded and stored in a secure digital journal.
Mention remote notarization when you send your request and you will get a straight yes or no for your document. Remote online notarization in Texas requires a separate online notary commission and an approved platform, so it is not something every notary can offer.
A bookkeeper records what your business earns and spends, categorizes that activity consistently, reconciles your accounts against bank and credit card statements, and produces reports showing where the business stands. The goal is records that are accurate and current rather than reconstructed at the last minute.
A bookkeeper maintains your day-to-day financial records. A CPA is a licensed professional who can prepare and file tax returns, provide tax advice, and perform audits and other attest work. The two roles work together: good bookkeeping gives your CPA clean records to work from. KR Notary & Bookkeeping provides bookkeeping only.
No. KR Notary & Bookkeeping does not prepare or file tax returns and does not provide tax advice. What we do is organize your records so your tax preparer or CPA has everything they need at year end.
Yes, catch-up and cleanup work is part of what we do. Prior periods are reviewed, corrected, and brought current. Scope and cost are confirmed after a look at what already exists, because an honest estimate depends on the actual state of the records.
Mention what you currently use when you get in touch — whether that is an accounting package, spreadsheets, or a shoebox of receipts — and you will get a direct answer about whether we can work in it or would suggest moving.
Pricing depends on the size of the business and the state of the records, so it is quoted after an initial review rather than off a list. You will have the figure in writing before any work begins.
KR Notary & Bookkeeping serves clients across Texas. Notary service is mobile, so we travel to you, and bookkeeping is generally handled remotely wherever you are in the state. Include your city when you send a request and the travel area is confirmed before the appointment is set.
Yes. Agents often need both — a notary for client documents and clean records for their own commission income. Support can be arranged for a single signing or as a standing arrangement; get in touch to talk through what would suit your volume.
No. A notary public is an impartial witness. KR Notary & Bookkeeping does not draft documents, explain what they mean, or advise you on whether to sign. We are not a law firm, title company, or real estate brokerage, and nothing on this site is legal advice. Questions requiring legal interpretation should go to a licensed attorney.
